The aim of the journal is to contribute to the scientific community by publishing studies in fundamental and clinical areas related to physical education and sport sciences, and to provide scientists, researchers, specialists, students, and anyone interested in sport science with free and easy access to these scientific studies.

The Eurasian Research in Sport Science (ERISS) publishes professional original research, review articles, and case reports in the fields of Sports Education, Physical Education and Sport, Movement and Training, Sports Health, Exercise and Sport Psychology, Sports Sociology, Sports Information Technologies, Sports Management, Recreation, Sports Philosophy, and Exercise and Sport for Individuals with Disabilities. The journal is an academic, scientific, and international peer-reviewed publication issued twice a year, in June and December. The publication languages are Turkish and English.

The journal was previously published under the name Marmara University Journal of Sport Sciences and was renamed Eurasian Research in Sport Science in 2018.
